Vladimir Sobotka was awarded a one-year contract with the St. Louis Blues through arbitration on Monday, though he likely wont play on the deal this season. Sobotka has signed with the KHLs Avangard Omsk for the 2014-15 season. Should he return to the NHL in the future, the contract will be enforced. "We are looking forward to having Vladimir in a Blues uniform when he returns to the NHL," Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said in a statement. "We wish him the best of luck in the upcoming season." The 27-year-old scored nine goals and a career-high 33 points in 61 games with the Blues last season.
